The NYC Ving Tsun Family invites you to a day of training, fellowship, and celebration honoring Grand Master Miguel Hernandez.

11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Moy Yat Family Seminar

Join us at Trinity Lutheran Church, 411 46th Street, Brooklyn. Doors and check-in open at 11:00 AM. Seminar runs 11:00 AM–3:00 PM. Tuition is $120, capped at 60 participants. Open to current students and teachers within the Moy Yat family, all ages. Participating minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please bring basic training gear and water; chairs will be available.

3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Afternoon at the Mo Kwoon

3:00–6:00 PM at NYC Ving Tsun, 4925 Fifth Avenue, Brooklyn. Guests may rest, shower, change, and spend time with the kung fu family. A host will be present. No refreshments will be provided. NYC Ving Tsun is not responsible for luggage or equipment left at the school.

70th Birthday Banquet

Guest arrival for the banquet begins at 6:00 PM, with dinner service beginning at approximately 7:00 PM. The banquet will be held at East Harbor Seafood Palace, 714 65th Street, Brooklyn. Tickets are $150, capped at 160 guests, with assigned seating and a family-style menu. The dress code is open, and no dietary accommodations are available. Spouses, children, friends, and non-practitioners are welcome. The evening will include a slideshow, music, a private photographer, and a special prize drawing.

Honoring a Life in Ving Tsun

Grand Master Miguel Hernandez, a direct student of Grand Master Moy Yat, has devoted decades to preserving and furthering the Ving Tsun system. His teaching reflects the traditional methodology passed from Grand Master Yip Man to Moy Yat, emphasizing principle, direct experience, disciplined practice, and the student-teacher relationship. We honor his generosity, dedication, and service to the Moy Yat lineage.

Registration & Policies

Ticket Deadline

Seminar and banquet tickets are sold separately. Registration closes October 31, 2026, or when capacity is reached. All sales are final; tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Waiver & Liability

Seminar participants must complete the required waiver during Ticket Tailor checkout.

Minors Policy

Minors must purchase a full-price ticket and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Photography Consent

Photography consent is required for attendance. Guests may take photographs and recordings without disrupting the event. A private photographer will document the event.

Seating & Companions

Banquet seating is assigned. Seating-companion requests may be submitted during checkout.

Dining & Refreshments

The banquet will feature a family-style menu with vegetarian accommodations (please inform us during ticket purchase). Refreshments will not be available during afternoon access to the mo kwoon.
